EXPEDITION LIFE
ACCOMMODATION
We believe that to see Africa just from the balcony of a five star hotel is a wasted opportunity. On the Swaziland, Botswana and Zambia Escape each night's accommodation has been chosen specifically to introduce you to a variety of African experiences. This varies from luxurious colonial guest houses with spectacular views to open tented camps surrounded by the sounds of the bush, or basic accommodation near our project site in Swaziland.
All rooms are based on two people sharing. In the past we have had solo clients offer to share rooms with other solo clients to avoid paying a single supplement. Please do contact us to find out if this is a possibility.
FOOD
We will be eating at our accommodation most nights and the food will largely be locally produced and cooked. African meals tend to be generous and will consist of some of the freshest fruit and best meat you will ever taste. Everything you eat will be free-range and as organic as its possible to be.
A DAY IN THE LIFE
One of the beauties of going on an Escape is that no two days are the same. We will usually be getting up early to make the best of the day before the midday sun, taking a long lunch break and making sure we are sitting somewhere comfortable with a stunning view in time for the obligatory African sundowners.
WHO ELSE IS GOING?
Your team will be between 6-12 people, plus a QUEST Leader. The age range varies from 28 up to 68, but all our Escape teams have one thing in common – an enthusiasm to experience the real Africa, spend time getting to know communities in rural Africa and to make a positive impact whilst travelling overseas.
WEATHER
April is the end of the rainy season, so whilst we might see a few downpours generally the weather will be hot. Humidity is relatively low, so the heat is mainly dry and ranges from 20-30 degrees.
