Quest Escapes

ESCAPE: REHABILITATE ANIMALS AND EXPLORE THE ANDES

Bolivia & Peru Escape

JOURNEY: Bolivia & Peru
PURPOSE: Animal Rehabilitation & Andean Highlights
DURATION: 3 weeks
Take a puma for walks. Encourage a monkey to play. Journey into Andes visiting the sparkling waters of Lake Titicaca, the colonial splendour of Cusco and lost city of Machu Picchu.

The Bolivian Amazon Rainforest is known for its vast biodiversity with over 2000 species of plants, more than 80 species of mammals and around 650 types of birds. Among these species are many endangered animals that have sadly become more and more fashionable for people to have as pets or circus animals. You will help to improve the lives of these beautiful creatures and will be given the unique opportunity to care for the monkeys, jaguars and pumas in the only sanctuary of its kind in the whole of Bolivia.

Following this you'll spend a week exploring the diverse landscape of the Andes. Discover the colourful markets of La Paz. Meet the indigenous communities living on the islands of Lake Titicaca. Finally soak up the history and atmosphere of Cusco, before heading to the lost city of the Incas - Machu Picchu, nestled deep in the lush green mountains of the Andes.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to a change in our insurance policy working with the big cats is entirely optional and to be undertaken at your own risk, you will not be covered for any injuries or liability incurred if you choose to work with the big cats.
